【AEAS培训网】常考词的语法与用法

save v.

1. 表示“挽救……免受……”或“从……救出……”，其后接用介词from。如：

He saved the boy from drowning. 他救起了这个男孩，使他免于溺死。

We saved the animals from the flood. 我们把动物从洪水中救出来。

2. 表示“节省”、“省去”，可以接双宾语，若双宾语易位，用介词 for。如：

That will save me a lot of trouble. 那会省去我很多麻烦。

Save me some milk. /Save some milk for me. 给我留点牛奶。

3. 其后可接动名词(通常有逻辑主语)。如：

If you lend me a pound, it’ll save (me) having to go to the bank. 你如果借给我一英镑，我就不必去银行了。

I will telephone and that will save me writing a letter. 我将打个电话，这可以省得我写信。

注：有时可用 save sb from doing sth(其中的 from 省略即为上面的句型)。如：

If you do it tonight, it will save you from having to getup early. 你如果今晚做这事，明天早上你就不必早起了。

scenery n.

表示“风景”，为不可数的集合名词。如：

What beautiful scenery! 真是风景如画!

We all enjoy mountain scenery. 我们都喜欢山景。

The driver stopped now and again so that we could enjoy the scenery. 司机不时地停车，以便让我们欣赏风景。

school n.

1. 表示“学校”，是可数名词。如：

The school is beautiful. 这所学校很美。

This is a modern school. 这是一所现代化的学校。

注：若不是表示“学校”本身，而是指与之有关的一些活动(如：上课，学习等)，是不可数名词，且此时通常不用冠词。如：

School begins in September. 学校九月开学。

School begins at eight. 学校八点开始上课。

He is at school now. 他现在在上课。

He finished school last year. 他去年完成学业。

AEAS培训老师比较下面的句子:

He goes to school every day. 他每天都去上学(读书)。

He goes to the school every day. 他每天都去这所学校。

She likes school. 她喜欢上学。

She likes the school. 她喜欢这所学校。

2. 汉语说“上学”，AEAS考试英语用 go to school, 注意该表达可以有修饰语。如：

I go to night school to learn French. 我去夜校学法语。

He went to No. 6 Middle School of Changsha. 他上长沙六中(在长沙六中学习)。

注：这样用时，偶尔其前可用冠词。如：

She goes to (an) art school. 她上艺术专科学校。

science n.

1. 表示一般意义的“科学”或“自然科学”，具有总称意义，是不可数名词。如：

It was one of the greatest discoveries in science. 那是科学上最伟大的一项发现。

Science means honest, solid knowledge. 科学是老老实实的学问。

注：“自然科学”在一定的上下文可直接用 science 表示，也可以用 natural science 或 physical science 表示。

2. 澳洲AEAS考试中表示一门科学或自然科学，通常是可数名词。如：

The chief sciences are biology, chemistry and physics. 主要的自然科学是生物学、化学和物理学。

Biology is a science. 生物学是一门(自然)科学。
