当你在讲英语的时候，你可以通过重读来改变句子潜在的意义。我们可以来看看下面的句子。
I don't think he should get the job.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
根据你对词语的重读，这个简单句可以表达出许多不同的意思。思考下面句子中加粗的词语，大声朗读每一句，并对加粗的词语进行重读。
1.I don't think he should get the job.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
Meaning: Somebody else thinks he should get the job.
意义：别人认为他可以得到那份工作。
2.I don't think he should get the job.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
Meaning: It's not true that I think he should get the job.
意义：我不认为他会得到那份工作。
3.I don't think he should get that job.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
Meaning: That's not really what I mean. OR I'm not sure he'll get that job.
意义：这不是我真正的意思。或者我不确定他会不会得到那份工作。
4.I don't think he should get that job.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
Meaning: Somebody else should get that job.
意义：别人可能会得到这份工作。
5.I don't think he should get that job.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
Meaning: In my opinion it's wrong that he's going to get that job.
意义：就我的看法，他不会得到这份工作。
6.I don't think he should get that job.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
Meaning: He should have to earn (be worthy of, work hard for) that job.
意义：他应该通过努力(使自己配得上，付出辛勤的劳动)得到那份工作。
7.I don't think he should get that job.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
Meaning: He should get another job.
意义：他应该做另一份工作。
8.I don't think he should get thatjob.
我觉得他不会得到那份工作。
Meaning: Maybe he should get something else instead.
意义：也许他应该干点别的。
如你所见，这句话有许多不同的理解方式。重要的一点就是记住，句子的意义也可以通过重读词语或词组来改变。
