【AEAS培训网】in, after, behind

为了提高参加AEAS考试的同学的英语水平，AEAS培训网特别为同学们带来一些考试技巧。这次介绍的是易混词汇辨析：in, after, behind。

(1) in和after均可接表时间段的名词，表示“在??时间之后”。

但in + 一段时间(用一般将来时)，after + 一段时间(用一般过去时)。 Eg: He will come back in a few days. 他过几天就回来。 He died after a few days. 几天后他死了。

(2) after还可接表具体时间的名词，而in一般不可以。

Eg: He will come here after three o’clock this afternoon. 他今天下午3点钟以后来这儿。

(3) after还可表次序，含有“连接”的意思。

Eg: After you! 你先请。

Day after day/year after year 日复一日/年复一年 B comes after A; C comes after B. 字母B在A之后，C在B之后。

(4) behind往往表示位置或方向的前后，不表示时间。

Eg: There is a garden behind the house. 房子后面有一个花园。 He sits behind me. 他坐在我后面。
